This brew is from the monthly beer club my wonderful sister got me for my birthday. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

The label makes me think of pirates for some reason.Maybe it’s the Sprecher font. It’s black with red lettering and a crest. And Oktoberfest is spelled with a K.

When poured, it’s a dark reddish brown color. The scent is almost sweet, but it’s clean. At first,  I couldn’t quite place it. Then I tasted it. Caramel. Not sugary sweet caramel. But real caramel. It’s a clean flavor and finishes nicely. No bitter aftertaste. Fortunately, there were 3 of these in the sampler. I plan to drink them all and will probably look for this beer again.
