There are several variations of this dream.
I would arrange for a pet sitter. Of course, I’ll pay extra for last minute. Pack my bags while getting angry looks from the cats. Load up the car with the bags and the husband. We would go straight south to Naples, Florida. I would spend every day lounging on the beach with my laptop, writing like a fiend. Every evening would be beer on the beach at sunset, followed by a lovely dinner. And each night would be capped with a walk on the beach.
If I lived close to a passenger train station, it would be a different story. I would hop a train and stay on it for days. I would sleep, eat, write, talk to people. If the train stations were in interesting locations, I’d disembark, take photos, see great things. I would see fabulous things and eat delicious meals.
In real life? I would pay off some bills, do some shopping and clean my house. I would do some writing as well. But my living room is currently lacking inspiration. I really am a boring person. Especially in winter.

I love that train depot picture. It is epic.
Thank you. It’s one of my favorites.
