First let me say that it is perfect that it was a post about cats. As a bona fide crazy cat lady, I am all about cats. I have 5 cats at this time. My house is full of cat stuff. Cat art, cat boxes, cat vases, cat jewelry, cat shirts, cat books, cat food and cat hair. So, very serendipitous that the third listing was a cat list. A list of awesome photos, no less. So I need to work that sentence into a post.

There are a lot of comics about cats. Get Fuzzy and Garfield come to mind. Both are pretty dead on when it comes to cats. In Get Fuzzy, Bucky is a self-centered, cynical, paranoid Siamese cat. Bucky Katt is charged with cleaning his own litter box. He doesn’t do it very often. If cats could clean their own box, even if they only did themselves once in a while, they would be perfect. But I have to tell you that cats don’t really have those skills. You know what they do have the skills to do? Manipulate people. Sometimes, it is an outright obvious push to get the human to do what they want. Other times, it is a passive aggressive move. For instance, my cat Meadow is a master at this. If she wants me to get out of bed, she gets up on the bed and leans her whole body against mine. Then proceeds to clean herself, loudly and with great commotion. If that doesn’t work, she will start scratching her ear. That usually gets me up. Once I’m up, the ear no longer itches. Amazing.
