The first thing I notice about the Sierra Nevada is that the bottle is smaller than the others. The label has the look of other Sierra Nevada ales. The scene is a fall scene with oranges, golds, and greens. The scent is very strong and hoppy. Poured, it’s very foamy. Once the foam died down it was a dark brown color. And, as expected, the taste was strong and slightly bitter. The brew is heavy, more for winter than fall, I think. I did end up with a slight buzz pretty quick. More than one would be a bit much for me.
