I have not been on a vacation for over a year. For me, that’s a long damn time. We like to vacation. We like to go places and see things. We like to eat at new and different places. But we haven’t been anywhere in over a year. We have been trying to go to a place called Helen, GA since February. In February, I made a one night reservation. Alex was alive at the time and I did not want to go anywhere for longer than one night. The day before we were to leave, her health took a dive and we stayed home with her instead. I have no regrets for staying with her. She has since passed.
So, we are left with 5 healthy cats, vacation time and a credit with the hotel in Helen. Our 8 year anniversary was this week, so I thought we might take a couple of days and go to Helen. Reservations were made. I got excited about leaving town. The prospect of taking photos of something besides flowers excited me greatly. My husband purchased a car from ebay. He went to pick the car up today. The bank was closed for computer maintenance (yes on a Wednesday). Therefore, he was unable to pay for the car and unable to take possession of it. He was 3 hours away from home. We were going to drive to GA tonight when he returned. He got stuck in traffic. He is currently 2 hours away and not moving fast. There is no way we are going to make it to GA tonight. Since we have to go back to pick the car up either tomorrow or Friday, there is no point in going to GA. I had to cancel again. The good news is that the hotel is very understanding and allowing us to maintain credit with them.
So I am left with 3 days off of work and no place to go. Maybe I will put it to good use and work on the house some. Or do some writing. Failing photos of Helen, GA, I am providing flower photos. And some cat photos. Enjoy.
P.S. I know in the big scheme of things, this is a non-issue. A silly problem.
Despite the fact that these photos were not taken in Helen, GA, they are lovely. Your Meadow looks much like our Twiggy. Keep trying, third time is a charm.
We’ll work it out soon, I’m sure. I love torties. They are very vocal and loving. But a little stubborn.
beautiful kitties… sending kitty hugs 🙂 from kitty Star ..
Thank you.
They are so adorable. I want to hug them. My phone wont let me hit the lick button, sorry! hugs Paula xx
I’ll hug them for you, Paula. Although, Jackie isn’t much into hugs, he does like to make biscuits (knead).
Haha. X
